The Commodore 8010 Acoustic Coupler modem
The Commodore 8010 acoustic coupler modem appears to have been released around 1980, based on the hand written dates on the PCB of the device I have. I recently picked this one up from former Commodore staff member Neil Harris. I haven’t gotten around to testing it yet, but I’ll do so.
For now, this post is primarily intended to act as a photo gallery until I learn more about it. I asked John Feagans if he had any specific recollections and I’m waiting to hear back from him. He said he believes the folks who worked on it were out of Commodore’s Wayne, PA office and they were assembled at Commodore’s Santa Clara plant.
Thank you so much for the detailed pictures!
We should stay in contact about redesigning the case parts as well as (maybe) the electronics as well.
Best regards from Germany,
Matthias
